Freaky Friday

Sitting on the deck overlooking the Gulf and watching about 6-8 dolphin hunting - the water surface was like a mirror so we could see to the horizon anything that broke the surface.
Finished yesterday with which was supposed to be a quick trip to fish a new area and within 5 minutes, T had a pompano on the beach. Disaster though when I realized I hadn't brought along any bait fishing rigs as it was my intent to fish with lures. So we had the one rod, some 2 day old shrimp (wanted to stand downwind from those puppies) - after another few minutes caught a really nice sheepshead. Now these guys have a mouth full of teeth that are capable of crushing barnacles and any other crustacean they might like to chew on. So sticking my finger into that maw was out of the question - so with a pair of needle nose pliers, I probed and finally got our one hook back. Then I had to release the thing - took forever for that guy to get up the energy to finally disappear into the waves. Hopefully didn't become shark bait.
Today is a high UV day (temp to 80 in a cloudless sky) - NEVER THOUGHT I'D DO IT BUT WE'RE OFF TO BUY A BEACH UMBRELLA.  Other than the spring breakers who are enjoying all the sun they can get everyone  here seems to have a place to hide away from the sun. during the hotest part of the day. WALLY WORLD here we come!
