Our first trip to Mobile

Huge waves and overcast skies sent us on our way to Mobile. First stop was the USS Alabama (Battleship) and USS Drum (Submarine) and toured each. Wonderful and inspiring.
Easy ride (about 50 miles) and much to be seen along the way. Only got to spend a short time in Mobile proper but definitely a repeat (perhaps a Sunday when we could go to Mass at the Basilica)
Big problem is that we saw many places we would like to stop along the way - a month may not be enough! I mean how do you NOT go to a Coleman Outlet store, or Mossy Oak? Oh yea, there was also a Ross For Less and Bells that someone spotted. And how about Lambert's restaurant whose speciality is "THROWED ROLLS"!!! Almost forgot Lucy Buffet's LULU'S PLACE (Jimmy Buffet's daughter) - PHEW! And that's only a sample!
